All videos are protected by DRM, which means that a video can be viewed but can’t be copied. Video can be watched as long as you allow it. Publisher can prohibit viewing even if the video has been already downloaded to a computer.

Warning! You can only upload videos that don’t violate any law or infringe any copyright.

You have to register for publishing videos.

First, click "Sign Up" link on the main page. Then fill in the form. You’ll get an e-mail with a confirmation link.

If you didn't receive an e-mail, non-activated account would be deleted in 24 hours. Then you can try again.

If you want to cancel your account, just delete all your videos. In two months your account will be cancelled automatically.

You can switch between Plans at any time by using an option on Account page. If you switch to a paid Plan, you will have to make a payment immediately so that your files wouldn’t be blocked.

Install Silverlight
Silverlight is a Microsoft technology which is necessary for Movielocker to work properly. Use the invitation and set up a free plug in, it will take a few minutes.

Supported video formats:
- WMV
- MOV (PRORES/PCM or H264/PCM or H264/AAC)
- MP4 (H264/AAC)

Please note that for making a WMV file you will have to use certain software:
For Windows it’s better to use Microsoft encoders. Other software can make incompatible files which won't be uploaded. Save your time.
For Mac it's better use Episod by Telestream. Make sure you use CBR only. VBR is not supported at this time.

To add a video click “upload” in the main menu. In the newly opened window first fill in boxes, then choose the file you want to upload from your computer. The uploader has the resume capabilities. When uploading is complete, the video will appear in the list.

It is now available to be downloaded and viewed.

You can create groups and add videos to them. User will be able not only to rent a single video, but also get several files at one time. You can add one video to several groups and it will be still available for a separate rent. Groups must be created before adding videos to them.

Warning! Make sure you mark the checkbox “18+” if you upload an adult video. Failure to do so is a serious violation of the Terms of use, which will lead to termination of you account.

To make videos available for offline playback:
Make sure that you upload a WMV file. When reached Step 4 while uploading check the checkbox "Available for offline playback".

In the Videos section of your account you find a list of all your videos. To the right of each video in the list you will find 5 icons that enable you to manage videos:

General settings	Here you can manage video information. Using ON/OFF switch you can temporarily lock your video so that it won’t be seen. Later you can unlock it again.
Viewing mode	You can set the viewing mode: Free, Pay-per-view or Donation. Free is the default option. For details, please, see Payment system.
Closed captions	You can add subtitles to your video. To do so first select the language, then choose the file from your computer. Please, note that only SRT files are supported.
Geographical restinction	You can prohibit viewing your video in selected countries. Choose regions and/or countries where you want viewing to be restricted. By default there are no restrictions.
Delete	Publisher can delete the video forever. The video will be deleted from our server and you will have to upload it again if you decide to reinstate it later.
Copy code	There’s a HTML code for each video for embedding it into a blog or site. If you have Freemium or Premium account, here you can also choose color and window size of the player.
If you have Premium account, you can also add your logo to the player. To do so, upload your logo on the Account page.

You can set the viewing mode: Free, Pay-per-view or Donation.

You set price and rent period for a group in Groups section of the menu. Making a single payment provides access to all the videos in that group.

If the Pay-per-view or Donation mode is set and users pay for viewing, all payments can be seen in the Payments section of the menu. There you can see who has watched your videos, how many times, and how much you have earned.

Publisher can withdraw money at any time via PayPal. To do so you’ll have to enter your account and click the button on the right. This is the only possible way of withdrawing money.

Movielocker is the instrument for selling your video. You will be responsible for all content you upload.

Warning! Money is transferred to your PayPal account. Your e-mail at Movielocker must be the same as the one registered with PayPal. You should create a PayPal account in advance. Otherwise we won’t be able to transfer anything.

No other means of transfer are possible.

Click PLAY button on the player. Then make a payment if requested

Watching Offline
A number of videos are available for offline playback, but not all of them. It depends on publisher.

To download VIDEO
Open the player and click the bottom left button .Then click DOWNLOAD VIDEO.

To download PLAYER (it’s free to download)
Open the player and click the bottom left button .Then click DOWNLOAD PLAYER.

Warning! You have to be online to watch the video which you have downloaded.
But the connection speed doesn’t matter. Low speed is enough.

If the video is to be paid for, you can pay via PayPal. After you have paid you can watch the video without limit during the rent period set by the publisher.

Movielocker is the instrument for selling video. If you are unsatisfied by the content you have to appeal to the publisher.

If you can’t download the video for technical reasons you have to appeal to the Technical Support of Movielocker.

Warning! You can watch the paid video only on the computer that you have used to make a payment.
